Weight Matters.
Green Metals

The word "green" suggests environmental benefits such as reducing or eliminating waste and reusing material whenever possible. Our technology supports global efforts to reduce the usage of fossil fuels and replace costly materials that are not recyclable. Of course, our GreenMetals do much more, but being green is of great importance as our natural resources are dwindling.

We believe steel has a more positive impact on the environment than alternative materials such as plastic, wood, composites and other alloys. Steel has been recycled for more then 150 years. It is the most widely recycled material in North America. Our research supports the use of steel in many applications in place of some of these other materials.

Weight is costly to the manufacturer, the consumer and inadvertently pollutes our environment. This is why we stress...Weight Matters!

Enhanced formability

  • The ability to shape the material is a unique formability feature not seen before with an all metal sandwich technology.
  • Ability to mass-produce a vast variety of component parts adds value.

Economics
  • Economic sheet metal manufacturing technology can be used to manufacture components (conventional "sandwich" materials fail in such operations).
  • Ability to mass-produce a vast variety of component parts adds value.

GS50

GS50 is an innovative sandwich material derived from extensive experience in the aerospace industry. The unique aspect of GS 50 is that the sandwich material is all steel. This provides unique characteristics to this technology.

At least 9 times stiffer than solid sheet metal of the same weight
  • Increases stiffness performance.
  • Eliminates the need for stiffness support structures in conventional sheet metal assemblies.
  • More efficient assembly process.

At least 70% lighter than solid sheet metal of the same thickness
  • Weight savings increase vehicle fuel efficiency, which equates to lower emissions and has environmental benefits.
  • A lighter car body allows for more options regarding fuel cell, battery and hybrid engine technology.
  • A lighter form of transport allows for more options regarding fuel cell, battery and hybrid engine technology.
  • Provides a new basis for aerodynamic designs.

Varied thickness and cell size of sandwich material
  • Ability to provide non-standard component functions.
  • Tailored light-weight material solutions.

Incorporates cellular flow-through technology
  • Use the open-cell core structure for active cooling.
  • Outstanding mechanical and thermal properties.

GS75-2

GS 75-2 is developed by reducing our cellular structure to various sized dimples, which then is attached to a single sheet of steel creating tremendous strength while remaining incredibly lightweight.

Think about corrugated cardboard and how the corrugation of the paper gives you a material that is surprisingly strong. This similar concept of corrugation is what we have developed, using cellular structure or dimples to provide a material that has greater strength with very little weight.

GS75-3

GS 75-3 is developed by reducing our cellular structure to various sized dimples, then attaching a single sheet of steel on both sides, creating even more strength than GS75-2 with slightly more weight for heavy duty applications.

Plysteel

Plysteel is a unique technology providing layers of cellular steel compressed with flat sheet steel. With this cell-formulated technology, flat sheets become similar to a corrugated material, creating cells that deliver substantial strength with the cells holding only air, creating significant weight savings.

Our plymetal technology should replace much of the plywood now used in the construction industry - offering weight savings, increased strength and improved economic and environmental values.

Plysteel eliminates the following concerns: wet lumber, dry rot, black mold, termites, warping, forest destruction, shipping, and many others. Also it makes buildings lighter, safer, reduces the concern of fires and lowers insurance costs. Plysteel brings a value proposition to the construction marketplace and end user that is long overdue!
